MARTE SKUTLABERG

Hi dear reader!

My name is Marte, and I'm 25 years old. A year ago, I moved to Vanuatu, an island nation in the South Pacific, where I now serve as a missionary with Marine Reach, Youth With A Mission (YWAM).

I believe in a God who still calls people to go — and for me, that call led to Vanuatu. Here, I've had the privilege of helping develop and lead the Keep Safe Program, a prevention initiative addressing sexual abuse against children and women. Together with local teachers, churches, and government partners, we're working to build a safer culture for children — reminding both boys and girls that they are valued, loved, and created in God's image.

The culture here is deeply male-dominated, and many women have never been told that their voice matters. One of my greatest passions is to raise up women who know their identity in God and to help them stand confidently in who they were created to be.

On this page, I share glimpses of life and ministry here on the islands — the highs, the challenges, and the faithfulness of God in it all.

Come join the journey! 🌴✨
